This technology is engineered to handle a wide range of industrial emissions by oxidizing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) at high temperatures and recovering thermal energy with minimal fuel consumption.

How Regenerative Thermal Oxidation Works?
Regenerative thermal oxidation is a process that heats exhaust air containing VOCs to approximately 800°C under controlled residence time and turbulence conditions. The organic compounds are chemically oxidized, reacting with oxygen to convert into harmless carbon dioxide (CO₂), water vapor (H₂O), and heat. COVs + O₂ → CO₂ + H₂O + Heat The system’s efficiency lies in its ability to store and reuse heat through high-performance ceramic media, significantly reducing operational energy costs.
Key Components of our Regenerative Thermal Oxidation Systems
Each regenerative thermal oxidation unit is composed of:
Two or three vertical ceramic towers (up to 5 ceramic towers for improved efficiency available) for heat recovery
A top-mounted combustion chamber that completes the oxidation process
A semi-cylindrical interconnection duct to optimize gas flow
Ceramic beds that store and release heat with up to 95% thermal efficiency
A modulating burner (natural gas, LPG, etc.) to maintain target oxidation temperatures if VOC energy content is insufficient
During operation, the ceramic media heats up as exhaust gases pass through, capturing energy from the process. In the next cycle, incoming polluted air is preheated by this same media, requiring minimal additional energy for oxidation.
